Report on the socio-economic situation of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship 2022

This publication is an analytical study referring to the challenges set out in the strategic document from the point of view of regional policy, i.e. the National Strategy of Regional Development 2030.

The publication contains important for the socio-economic development of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship information on changes in the environment, observed demographic processes, issues related to education and the use of human capital relevant for the socio-economic development. It describes changes taking place on the labour market, taking into account the current results of the survey on the structure of wages and salaries by occupations. Various topics were emphasised in the description of the conditions and quality of life of the inhabitants of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship, i.a. regarding health care, social benefits, transport or public safety. The current factors influencing the economic situation of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship are indicated, the observed trends in selected areas of the economy, the activity of national economy entities, or issues in the area of research and development and innovation.The publication also covers related issues with financing activities from local government budgets or with projects co-financed by the European Union from the structural funds and the Cohesion Fund.

The publication consists of 10 chapters. The information it contains relates to the year 2021 and if they are not available – to the year preceding the analysed year. For a broader picture of the changes taking place in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship, comparisons were made with the previous year and if possible with 2015 or 2010.

The analytical comment along with statistical tables were supplemented with graphical forms of presenting statistical data, i.e. cartograms, cartodiagrams and charts that illustrate spatial and temporal variability of phenomena.
